Only 1 Camping Unit is Allowed per site unless authorized by Parks Caretaker. Each Camping Unit will be charged appropriate rate, even if they are situated on one site.
Camping Season Dates: Sidie Hollow & Esofea-Rentz Memorial Campgrounds are open from April 15 to October 15. Blackhawk Park & Campground is managed by the U.S. Army Corps. of Engineers. For camping reservations at Blackhawk, please call 877-444-6777 or reserve online at www.reserveusa.com. There is no camping at Jersey Valley County Park, Duck Egg County Forest and Kooyumjian-Lost Creek County Forest. All Vernon County Parks and Forests are open year round for hiking, fishing, & site-seeing.
County Park Hours: All parks close nightly from 11:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m., except registered campers who are in or enroute, or people transporting watercraft to and from boat landings.
Camping & Shelter Reservations: Camping Sites & shelters may be reserved anytime between April 15th (opening) and October 15th (closing). Call (608) 637-7335 or talk to Tim Jacobson, Park Caretaker. Tim's office is located at Sidie Hollow, in the main campground area near the park shelter.
Deposits & Cancellations: NEW IN 2007 - Deposits are now required within 14 days of reserving your site(s). For Non-Holiday reservations, a 25% deposit is required. For Holiday reservations, a 50% deposit is required, and for Shelter House reservations, a 100% deposit is required. Cancellations must be made more than 14 days prior to your arrival date in order to receive a refund of your deposit. No refunds for cancellations made within 14 days of your arrival date.
Check Out Time: 4:00 p.m. daily unless authorized differently by park personnel. No camping party shall start setting up or taking down it's camping unit between the hours of 1:00 am and 6:00 am without prior authorization of the respective park caretaker or assistant caretaker.
All Camping Waste Water (which includes gray water): Must be disposed of within the designated park disposal station. Per IHLR 83.04(1) Domestic Waste, requires that all water carrying wastes derived from ordinary living uses shall enter a septic or treatment tank unless otherwise exempted by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
Camping Minors: All campsites must have parental, legal guardian, or a non-profit organizational adult leader. All camping minors are restricted to their registered camping site between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. unless accompanied by one of the above listed adults.
Pets: Are welcome however must be effectively restrained on a leash no longer than 10 feet and not left unattended at any time.
Registered Campers Must Clean Their Campsite Daily - All Waste, including animal, is to be deposited in containers provided.
